Casey received her Juris Doctor from the University of Oregon. She served as Staff Editor (Volume 89) and Managing Editor (Volume 90) of the Oregon Law Review and received the Maxine Lee Award for Editorial Excellence.

During law school, Casey developed a passion for client advocacy through her volunteer work at Lane County Legal Aid and Advocacy Center, where she assisted low-income individuals with legal issues ranging from elder abuse to evictions. She also worked as a judicial extern in the Lane County Circuit Court and as a certified law student in the Lane County District Attorney’s Office.

An East Bay native, Casey returned to the Bay Area after law school and began working as a Research Attorney to the Honorable Stuart Hing in the Superior Court of California, County of Alameda. Her work garnered attention from outside of the courthouse and helped secure a federal grant for a mental health program at the Alameda County Superior Court.

Wanting to directly advocate for clients, Casey began practicing personal injury law with Thompson Law Offices. There, Casey assisted on a range of cases including premises liability and sexual abuse cases, some of which were co-counseled with Mary Alexander & Associates. Currently, she assists on a wide variety of cases, including wrongful death, product liability, premises liability, and motor vehicle accidents.

Admitted to practice in the State of California, the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of California, and the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of California.
